My first and only time there was with a blind date. The only reason the date was good at all was because he took me to the Wheelhouse.
It was nice, even though the guy ended up being a jerk.Food was delicious and wait staff was courteous, friendly, and accommodating, even on a crowded Saturday night. Our gal knew the menu and drink selections and was able to recommend things knowledgeably. Our view over the river was spectacular. Even on a chilly evening, we were cozy with the fires and heaters around. Plus, there was live music in the bar area. It's all open-air, so smoking was allowed. We weren't crammed in like sardines, either. We had plenty of room between parties, and a good-sized table. It's just a lovely place to dine outdoors. I'd certainly go back anytime, in different company, of course.
